Thanks Kim! Yes, the lake house is such a getaway. Unfortunately…. not all of us have an actual lakehouse, but I’m figuring out how to make my own “lakehouse.” LOL We hope to join you soon!

great post em! i have made a concsious decision to relax and enjoy life. while it meant taking a step sideways in my career, i believe there has to be a balance to enjoy anything. have you ever wondered why we go to the lake so much? it’s my mental detox as you call it:). no laptop, no errands, no distractions…just me and my family (and friends at times). it’s amazing how when i get back on sunday nights, everything is still in place waiting for me. nothing fell apart. you guys should join us some time!

Thanks for the great reminder! I was thinking about how I can escape this morning. I’m reading a book called, “Women Who Do Too Much” by Patricia Sprinkle. It’s very eye opening and it forces you to think about all that you do, for what reasons and how to pare down your to-do list. It’s less than $9 on Amazon.
